Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers is required.
  

Under direction, plan, organize and supervise the work of public works engineers and technical support staff; function as a departmental expert in assigned areas, managing the larger scale, more complex projects; and perform related work as required. This level requires a State of California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer.   FINAL FILING: November 13, 2009

 

 There are currently two vacancies for Civil Engineer.

·         One position will be assigned to assist in the administration of the State-Mandated Storm Water Management Program (including compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requirements/inspection/sampling/sweeping).  This position requires knowledge of NPDES regulations and permitting process.

·         One position will be assigned to provide support to the County Service Area and County Service Districts for managing water and wastewater systems. This position requires knowledge of water and waste water system analysis and design including experience with hydraulic modeling and knowledge of water and wastewater rate studies.
