Grade:  212Salary:  $55,039 - $90,189 Annually

Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed. Who May Apply?All persons legally authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities The Engineer II will demonstrate a commitment to providing continuous quality service, protect and promote the brand, image, and reputation of the City, while striving to exceed the needs and expectations of our citizens and employees.Prepare engineering design calculations, budget calculations and cost estimates.Prepare, analyze and review engineering reports.Manage multiple multi-million dollar public works projects.Provide support and information during design, advertising, bidding and construction of public works projects.Administer, coordinate and manage Architectural and Engineering (A/E) contracts and projects.Conduct field investigations and visits to future project sites and current construction sites.Attend advisory committee meetings, review meetings, pre-bid meetings and pre-construction meeting taking notes and documenting as appropriate.Assist with preparation of City Council agenda material.May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Environmental Engineering or related field No experience required Engineer in Training (EIT) required A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire
